Itinerary

 

Day 1: Arrive and check in to your hotel in Colle Val d’Elsa. Wine tasting.

After checking into your hotel, make your way to a nearby family-run winery. Learn about the production process before savouring five of their best wines paired with local products.

Day 2: Olive oil mill. Volterra visit.

After breakfast at the hotel, head to a local family-run olive farm in the Volterra countryside where you will visit the mill and learn all about this “liquid gold”. Enjoy lunch at the mill with an oil degustation before making your way to the enchanting Etruscan town for an afternoon wander.

Day 3: Cooking Class near San Gimignano.

Take a panoramic drive to a cooking school set in the hills surrounding San Gimignano. Roll up your sleeves and learn to cook a traditional Tuscan meal from scratch, including a couple of different types of pasta. Sit back, relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour for lunch after the lesson, accompanied by a glass or two of wine. After lunch, take the short drive and walk off lunch with a stroll around San Gimignano.

Day 4: Siena Food Tour. Monteriggioni.

Drive to Siena, where an expert local guide will be waiting to take you around, sharing with you the history and local traditions as well as taking you to try some of the most delicious local delicacies. Stop by the fortified town of Monteriggioni on your way back to the hotel.

Day 5: Certaldo.

Pack up and check out of the hotel after breakfast. Make one last stop in the town of Certaldo for lunch before farewelling the area.
