Itinerary
Day 1: Check in to your hotel in Colle Val d’Elsa then enjoy a Tuscan Cooking Class in the hills.
Check in to your beautiful hotel, relax and settle in. In the evening enjoy your first cooking lesson where you will learn to make a full Tuscan meal. After creating all the dishes you will savour the fruits of your labour paired with a delicious glass (or 2) of wine.
Day 2: Olive oil mill. Volterra visit.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will go to a local olive farm in the Volterra countryside where you will visit the mill and learn all about this “liquid gold”. Lunch with traditional local products at the mill with an oil degustation before enjoying a guided tour of Volterra. In the evening, a wine tasting paired with local cheeses and cured meats near the town square.
Day 3: Wine tasting and lunch. San Gimignano visit. Panoramic dinner.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel then we will make our way to a panoramic winery where you will learn the wine-making process before tasting their top wines. Transfer to San Gimignano where you are free to wander the town on your own for a couple of hours, enjoying the views from the fortress and even a bit of souvenir shopping. Panoramic dinner at a local winery and oil producer overlooking the towers of the spectacular San Gimignano skyline.
Day 4: Siena Walking Tour. Monteriggioni.
After breakfast we will drive to Siena for a half-day walking tour with a local guide who will take you to visit the most important sites, tell you of local history and traditions and of course, take you to taste the delicious local cuisine. After some free time in Siena, we will make our way to the fortified hilltop town Monteriggioni for aperitivo and our final dinner together.
Day 5: Check out, farewell and transfers.
Final breakfast at the hotel before checking out, saying our goodbyes and then transferring back to Florence.
