Itinerary
Day 1: Check-in and Cheese Degustation.
Check-in to your beautiful, boutique countryside hotel. Relax at the property before going to one of the most stunning panoramic terraces in the Val D’Orcia area. Visit the farm before sitting back to enjoy the view with a cheese degustation of products made right there on site.
Day 2: Montalcino winery. Bagno Vignoni.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit a small, family-run vineyard that produces one of Italy’s most renowned wines, Brunello di Montalcino. Learn about the production process before sitting down to savour the winery’s products paired with a delicious homemade lunch. In the afternoon, visit the thermal town of Bagno Vignoni with its enchanting World Heritage main square.
Day 3: Truffle Hunting* and Cooking Class. Pienza.
Today you will set out to hunt the “black pearl”, more commonly known as a truffle. See the dogs in action, sniffing their way through the woods to uncover this prestigious delicacy. You will then return to the farmhouse for a cooking class, learning the secrets of Tuscan cuisine while you prepare a truffle-based lunch. In the afternoon, wander the streets of nearby Pienza.
Day 4: Gin Tasting in Cortona.
Venture a little further afield to the Etruscan town of Cortona. After a visit to the town, make your way to the nearby gin producer for spectacular views and an even better gin experience.
Day 5: Montepulciano wine cellar.
Visit the historical cellar of one of Italy’s most prestigious wines, Vino Nobile. Marvel at its beauty before tasting of all their best products. Wander the town to gather some last souvenirs before aperitivo at a delicious local wine bar.
Day 6: Check out. San Quirico d’Orcia
Check out of your hotel and make the most of your final moments in Italy’s beautiful heart by stopping by San Quirico d’Orcia.
